Award-winning Author/LHU Professor Offers Book Signing for New Book


LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  – Marjorie Maddox Hafer (pen name Marjorie Maddox), Director of Creative Writing and Professor of English at Lock Haven University, has published Local News from Someplace Else. The book, which contains poems on Central Pennsylvania, focuses on living in an unsafe world and how, by confronting fear and embracing family, grace and joy are rediscovered. A recipient of numerous literary honors, Marjorie has written four collections of poetry, five chapbooks, two children’s books, and was co-editor of Common Wealth: Contemporary Poets on Pennsylvania.
