LHU Students Attend the 85th Annual AAUW-PA Meeting
April 29, 2013- The Co-Presidents of Lock Haven University’s branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women), Tiffany Stamm and Felicia Baker, recently attended the 85th annual state meeting of AAUW. The event was held in Gettysburg from April 11-13, 2014.
Stamm and Baker took part in a historic walking tour of Gettysburg that focused on women’s roles during the U.S. Civil War and attended panels such as “AAUW: College Students’ Perspectives”. In addition, students attended a talk by Char Rusnak, Former NATO Senior Gender Integration Advisor to the Afghan Ministry of Defense and met with state-level and national-level AAUW officers, including AAUW National Vice President, Julia T. Brown.
Stamm said, “Attending the 2014 Annual AAUW-PA convention was an amazing opportunity for me because I was able to meet many inspirational women and learn about new and exciting upcoming events for AAUW.”
