LHU Alum Opens Chiropractic Clinic in Downtown Lock Haven

November 18, 2013 - Dr. Jason Madigan, a 1998 graduate of Lock Haven University, recently opened Sport & Spine Chiropractic Rehab at 8 North Grove Street, Suite B, Lock Haven, PA. With the assistance of the Lock Haven University Small Business Development Center (LHU SBDC), Madigan developed a comprehensive business plan to open his own chiropractic center. For over ten years, Madigan had practiced professionally, 8 of those years in the Williamsport area, and wanted to be closer to home to spend more time with his family, as well as become more involved in the local community.

Madigan’s passion and commitment to formalize his plans for opening his own chiropractic office started in February of 2012 when he turned to the LHU SBDC for assistance. Knowing about the resources available to prospective small business owners and entrepreneurs, Jason worked with Tim Keohane of the LHU SBDC for guidance with financial feasibility and deal structuring.

After approximately 18 months of in-depth investigation and planning, Dr. Madigan opened the doors of his Sport & Spine Chiropractic Rehab to the public on October 28, 2013. “I very much enjoy working with the younger population, but I also enjoy giving others with chronic pain an increased quality of life”, said Madigan, who noted that he treats all ages and various diagnoses at his clinic. Returning home, he is ready to give back to his local community, both professionally through is clinic as well as becoming more involved on a personal level.
