Lock Haven University to Host Celebration of Scholarship

Lock Haven & Clearfield, PA – Lock Haven University is hosting a day-long event with a focus on academic achievement.  Celebration of Scholarship will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 8:30 A.M to 3:30 P.M. on the university’s main and Clearfield campuses

Celebration of Scholarship showcases the academic work and artistic accomplishments of Lock Haven University’s students, faculty and alumni and includes poster presentations, performances, art displays and speeches.  In addition, there will be a keynote address by Tym DeSanto, an LHU alumnus at 12:30 P.M. in Price Auditorium.  Mr. DeSanto is an artist who works in sculptural furniture and photography, an award-winning singer/songwriter, a professional ski racer and adventure skier, and a design persona working in interior and exterior design on HGTV's hit show, "Design Star."

Dr. Paddy O’Hara, chair of the Celebration of Scholarship Committee indicated that “Celebration of Scholarship is an opportunity for members of the university community to demonstrate their creativity.  Each faculty member or student has labored to produce novel and effective approaches to the assigned tasks and academic requirements.  Come support them as they are given the opportunity to demonstrate their accomplishments.”
