LHU Health Club to Provide Educational Outreach for Students

Lock Haven, PA – On Monday, January 27 and Tuesday, January 28, the Health Science Club will sponsor medical students from the Commonwealth Medical College (working with the Susquehanna Health & Dental Clinic), to provide educational outreach about the Health Insurance Marketplace and the Affordable Care Act.

WHAT:          Educational Outreach on the Health Insurance Marketplace and the Affordable Care Act

WHEN:          Monday, January 27 and Tuesday, January 28, 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

WHERE:       Lock Haven University's Parson's Union Building (PUB) and Willis Heath Professions Center

WHO:             Dr. Beth McMahon, Department of Health Science (570) 484-2220

Students will be available from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Willis Health Professions Center and the PUB on Monday and Tuesday to answer questions and enroll anyone looking for insurance. A Health Science student will also accompany the medical students (organized by club president, Brandon Hornick).  Our liaison at the Susquehanna Health and Dental Clinic is our own LHU graduate, Ms. Emily Miller, who is now employed by the Clinic.
