LHU’s Dr. Edwin Severn participates in Chiaroscuro Jazz Workshop to air on WVIA

Lock Haven, PA- Lock Haven University professor Dr. Edwin Severn recently participated in Chiaroscuro Jazz conservancy sessions presented by WVIA-TV where he and four other professional musicians conducted a day-long jazz education workshop at Berwick Senior High School.

Dr. Severn (trumpet) joined Bill Mays (piano), Marko Marcinko (drums), Tom Hamilton (saxophone) and Josh Davis (bass) as the group coached the students throughout the day and later performed for a live audience at the Sordoni High Definition Theater at the WVIA Studios.

The presentation will air on WVIA-TV on Monday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m.

The "Chiaroscuro Jazz Conservancy Sessions" television special is part of WVIA's Chiaroscuro in the Schools project, which is funded by a generous grant from the Degenstein Foundation. This specific event was produced in partnership with the Pennsylvania Jazz Alliance and Susquehanna University.
