Lock Haven University to Dedicate Nature Trail

LOCK HAVEN, PA – On Tuesday, April 22nd (Earth Day), the Environmental Focus Group will dedicate the new Nature Trail at its start in front of Robinson Learning Center.

WHAT:          Nature Trail Dedication

WHEN:          Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

WHERE:       Lock Haven University’s Robinson Learning Center

WHO:             Bob Myers, rmyers2@lhup.edu or (570) 484.2236

In the 1930s the LHU Naturalist Club and their advisor Professor Levi Ulmer developed a nature trail on the mountain behind campus.  This year the LHU Environmental Focus Group has restored the trail, adding plaques that showcase the cultural and environmental history of the campus and the region.

The public is invited to join us and walk the restored trail, which is 1½ miles long.  The hike should take about 40 minutes.  If you have any questions, contact Bob Myers (rmyers3@lhup.edu, 570-484-2236).

Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth.
