Rock-A-Thon is an annual fundraising event to benefit the Clinton County Women’s Center and Pine Mountain Settlement School. The Clinton County Women’s Center (CCWC), located in Lock Haven, PA, is a safe haven for both women and men who are in need of help, including but not limited to sexual assault and domestic violence. It also offers workshops, informational speeches, and community service opportunities. The Pine Mountain Settlement School of Kentucky is a center for promoting environmental education for people of all ages. It offers programs such as summer camps, environmental art education classes and reading help programs for children. This event is a 24-hour event where the sisters rock in rocking chairs and collect money outside on the corner of main campus. The sisters will have multiple guest rockers coming out to rock to help support the organization. Guest rockers include students, faculty, staff and those in the local community. When making a donation the donors will receive information about the Women’s Center in order to make them aware of all of the resources the CCWC has to offer the community. October is also Domestic Violence Awareness month and the sisters would like to inform as many people as they can about the importance of the Women’s Center in our community. The sorority will also be collecting the following items to give to the Clinton County Women’s Center: air fresheners, laundry detergent, AA and AAA batteries, canned goods, sugar, creamer, coffee, butter,

wash baskets, 13-gallon garbage bags, floor cleaners, dryer sheets, tooth brushes, travel size toothpaste, paper products and any little bags of snacks. For additional information, please contact Jessica Dugan at jdugan2@lhup.edu or 814-359-6557
