“Wise Woman of the Year” Award Event

October 17 - YWCA of Northeastern PA will be awarding Dr. Beth McMahon, Professor of Health and Sciences, the 2013 "Wise Woman of the year" award. This award is given annually to one special woman who excels in their professions, as well in their community. Doing this she embodies the qualities all Women of Excellence should take on; integrity, strength, leadership qualities along with good character, staying active in their community, giving to the younger generations by mentoring, and working with the boards and directors for non-profits and organizations. We are glad to congratulate Beth on her award!

The Wise Woman of the Year award is part of the annual Women of Excellence awards given by the YWCA to honor women who distinguish themselves in their professions as well as community service. Nominations and selections are made based on the qualities of integrity, strength, character and leadership; active participation in the community as a volunteer; service as a member or role model; and active service on boards or committees of various non-profits and organizations.

Beth will be honored with the Wise Woman of the Year award at the Fifth Annual Women of Excellence event on Thursday, October 17th, 5:30pm at the Holiday Inn in Williamsport, Pa.
