Zumba-thon Fundraiser Scheduled for February 12, 2014
Lock Haven, PA – Jump start progress on your new year’s resolution and join Lock Haven University’s upcoming Zumba-thon – a dance fitness party for a good cause. The Criminal Justice Honors Society (Alpha Phi Sigma) and the Professional Business Fraternity (Alpha Kappa Psi) are co-sponsoring the Zumba-thon Fundraiser on Wednesday, February 12th from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center.

The cost is $3 per student and $5 per community member. Proceeds benefit the Clinton County Women’s Center and the sponsoring student groups. Free parking is provided in the white-lined spaces in the parking lots around the Student Recreation Center (no decal required). Certified student, faculty, and alumni Zumba instructors will lead the event and include: Dr. Katherine Ely, Assistant Prof. of Criminal Justice; Dr. Cori Myers, ‘91 Alumna and Associate Prof. of Management; Ms. Mallory Conti, Recreation Management Major, Mr. Ryan Shields, Health Science Major; Ms. Nikki Eoute, ‘09 Alumna; Ms. Lori Hoy, ‘01 Alumna; Ms. Dawn Snyder, ’95, ‘05 Alumna; Ms. Mary Walsh, ‘04, ‘10 Alumna
The evening will be a dance fitness-party with door prizes, guest appearances, and of course, fun Zumba dances. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
