A Message from President Fiorentino

Dear Students: 

I could not be more pleased to report that this weekend, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) and the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF) reached the framework of an agreement for a new contract. While the contract still must be ratified by faculty members, a settlement is within reach and there should be no interruption in the spring semester.

The clear winners are you, our students. The new framework presents tremendous opportunities for campus leaders and faculty to focus on how best to meet your needs, foster more student engagement, and improve your overall campus experience. In short, we will continue to offer you the highest quality education at the most affordable cost, now and well into the future.

I’m looking forward to a great semester, filled with plenty of opportunities to keep all of you energized and inspired. I wish each and every one of you the best as you continue your educational journey at Lock Haven University.
