April 16, 2012

Lock Haven University’s Gay-Straight Alliance will be hosting their annual Spring Drag Show on April 20, 2012 in Room 118 of the Health Professions Building to celebrate the end of LGBT Pride Week. At 5:30 p.m., there will be a meet-and-greet reception where students, faculty and staff can enjoy refreshments and meet the professional drag queens. The drag show will begin at 6:30 p.m. This event is open to the public.

The show will be hosted by professional drag queen Scarlett Feva and well-known amateur Big Red. This interactive show is bound to keep the audience dancing and singing along to the hits. The Gay-Straight Alliance encourage everyone to come out and support a great cause while enjoying a unique show. There will be several raffle prizes, as well as giveaways.

Admission is $3.00 at the door or $2.00 for audience members bringing a pamphlet or handout showing that they attended a previous Pride Week event. All proceeds will benefit the AIDS Resource in State College.

Earlier in Pride Week, GSA sponsored a Day of Education and Recreation featuring games as well as informal guest speakers. Topics included healthy relationships, women’s rights, etc.
