History National Honor Society Chapter to Open at LHU in Spring 2013

Lock Haven University’s History Program will soon have its own chapter of the history national honor society, Phi Alpha Theta.
In the spring 2013 semester, Lock Haven’s new chapter, Alpha-Omicron-Delta, will be formally installed and inductions will begin. Students from any major are welcome to join. Membership requirements include a 3.0 overall GPA, a 3.1 GPA in history courses, and a total of 12 hours in history completed.
Nationally, the Phi Alpha Theta society has more than 350,000 members, with about 9,500 new members joining each year through 860 local chapters, according to the organization.
