Music to “let your hair down”
Pops concert at LHU
April 6, 2012
The Lock Haven University/Community Orchestra will perform in a “let your hair down” kind of concert on Sunday, April 15 in Rogers Gymnasium. The concert will begin at 3 p.m.
This will be a pops concert – which is always a formula for fun. Conductor John R. Schmidt, assistant professor of music, says, “The orchestra is going where it has not gone before – with rock n’ roll music.” The orchestra will perform a variety of popular numbers, including selections from Gershwin, Mancini, the Beatles, and Kool and the Gang.
In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere associated with pops concerts, the LHU Pops Concert includes refreshments.
This event is free and is open to the campus and community.
