LHU to host assistive technology fair
October 11, 2012
Assistive technologies make it possible for persons with disabilities to perform tasks they could not accomplish otherwise, or that they would have difficulty performing. Community members who are interested in knowing the various assistive technologies available in Pennsylvania are invited to Lock Haven University’s 6th Annual Fair on Assistive Technology. The event takes place Friday, October 12, 2012 in the Multipurpose Room of the Parsons Union Building from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
The event will provide opportunities to see the latest in assistive technology. LHU students will demonstrate various assistive devices for individuals with different disabilities and have prepared informative posters. Meet with parents and other individuals with interest in assistive technologies. Participants can also learn how to get assistive technology on loan in Pennsylvania.
The Assistive Technology Fair is made possible by Lock Haven University in collaboration with the Center for Independent Living in Williamsport, Pa.
