All applications are processed through the Admissions Office of Lock Haven University of PA. The Admissions Office will correspond with you to inform you as to missing paperwork or inability to meet the competitive requirements (missing prerequisites, less than a 2.70 GPA, failure to meet University requirements.).

An applicant having met the prerequisites (and transfer requirements, if applicable) will receive a letter from the Admissions Office. The applicant is then required to schedule a nursing department entrance exam. After successful completion of the entrance exam and general prerequisites, applicants will be scheduled for an interview with the Admissions Committee of the Nursing Department.

At the conclusion of all interviews, the Nursing Department Admissions Committee will select the 50 most qualified to fill the class for the coming academic year. The names of those selected to fill the class, as well as those who were not, are then forwarded to the Admissions Office for proper notification to all, i.e. letter of acceptance/denial. Accepted candidates will receive information from the Nursing Department Chairperson prior to the Fall Semester regarding requirements for the beginning of the semester (medical exam, liability, CPR, etc).
