As per
State Board of Nursing: “Applicants shall have completed
work equal to a standard high school course with a minimum
of 16 units, including 4 units of English, 3 units of Social
Studies, 2 units of Mathematics (1 of which is Algebra),
and 2 units of Science with a related laboratory or the
equivalent.”
The
basic sciences required for our program are Chemistry (with
a lab component), and Biology (with a lab component). A
grade of C or above, and a GPA of 2.70 or above is required
for consideration of the course(s) as fulfillment of prerequisites.
If these were achieved at the college level, this is also
acceptable. Should you be deficient in one of these areas,
you will be required to successfully complete the deficient
course(s) with a grade of C or better prior to acceptance
consideration. G.E.D. students must meet the same requirements.
