President's Commission on
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Issues

The President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Issues (President's Commission on LGBTQ Issues) was formally recognized in February 2009. The President's Commission on LGBTQ Issues is a formal recognition of the importance of encouraging diversity in general, and encouraging diversity related to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression specifically.  The mission of the President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Issues is to create a more inclusive and supportive campus climate through education, activism, advocacy, and assessment for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Issues meets periodically throughout the semester. Membership is open to all faculty, staff, administrators, and student leaders. Please contact the chair, Dr. Rick Schulze, if you are interested in joining the Commission. Please visit the Events page using the navigation to the left if you would like to find out more about the activities being planned by the Commission. Most events are open to the public and all are welcome, unless otherwise noted.
