President's Commission on
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues

The President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues (President's Commission on LGBT Issues) was formally recognized in February 2009. The President's Commission on LGBT issues is a formal recognition of the importance of encouraging diversity in general, and encouraging diversity related to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression specifically.

The President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues strives to address LGBT concerns that move Lock Haven University towards a more inclusive and supportive campus climate that is free of discrimination, intolerance and bigotry.  The Commission works toward understanding and appreciation of differences in our diverse faculty, staff, administration, and students. In essence, the mission of the President's Commission on LGBT Issues is to help create an inclusive environment for all University members, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

The President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues meets periodically throughout the semester. Membership is open to all faculty, staff, administrators, and student leaders. Please contact the chair, Dr. Rick Schulze, if you are interested in joining the Commission. Please visit the Events page using the navigation to the left if you would like to find out more about the activities being planned by the Commission. Most events are open to the public and all are welcome, unless otherwise noted.
