Group Projects

There are three (3) group projects to be complete during the semester. They are Linear Programming, Forecasting and Agggregate Planning. This section contains all of the information on the group projects.

All projects will be submitted using Google Docs. On Group Day (see the schedule below), we will go over using Google Docs. More information on Group Day will appear here.

HERE is the explanation of the group grading procedures. It is also a good example of how to describe calculations in a project report.

Forecasting Project

THIS is the writeup for the forecasting project. We will go over this on 1/27/2010 in sections 01 and 90 and on 1/26/2010 for section 02. A memo to enter the contest is due by 11:59 PM on 2/24/2010 for sections 01 and 90 and by 11:59 PM on 2/25/2010 for section 02. The project report is due by the beginning of class on 3/3/2010 for sections 01 and 90 and by the beginning of class on 3/4/2010 for section 02.

Linear Programming Project

HERE is the overview of the LP project. We will go over this on 2/4/2010 (Section 02) and 2/8/2010 (Sections 01 and 90). Assignments on this project occur throughout the semester.

THIS is an example of how to writeup a linear program. Be sure to follow the directions in the project overview and meet the requirements put forth in there as well as the rubric.

This is the list of problems for the semester:

HERE is the Supply Chain LP problem. We will go over 2/16/2010 and 2/17/2010. It is due by the beginning of class on 3/3/2010 and 3/4/2010.

HERE is the Aggregate Planning LP problem. We will go over 3/16/2010 and 3/17/2010. It is due by the beginning of class on 4/8/2010 and 4/9/2010.

HERE is the Personnel Scheduling LP problem. We will go over 3/30/2010 and 3/31/2010. It is due by the beginning of class on 4/15/2010 and 4/16/2010.

HERE is the Location LP problem. We will go over 4/20/2010 and 4/21/2010. It is due by 11:59 PM on 5/4/2010.

Aggregate Planning Project

HERE is the write up of the Aggreage Planning project. We will go over this on 3/17/2010 in sections 01 and 90 and on 3/18/2010 in section 02. A memo to enter the contest is due by 11:59 PM on 4/24/2010 for all sections. The project is due by the beginning of class on 4/28/2010 for sections 01 and 90 and by the beginning of class on 4/29/2010 for section 02.
