Educational Effectiveness

Institution-wide assessment                             Back to Index

The System Accountability Plan (SAP) includes both direct and indirect measures of student learning.  The System sets institutional targets and external benchmarks for measures such as retention and graduation rates, pass rates on the PRAXIS examinations, student participation in internships and scholarly activity, and diversity of faculty and student body.

As mentioned in the previous section on institutional effectiveness, LHUP
also administers several local and national surveys such as the National Survey
of Student Engagement (NSSE) and the Your First College Year (YFCY) surveys to solicit student perceptions about many areas that influence various student learning outcomes.
