Good news: this year data is available by program, not just
department.
We still have some difficulty getting faculty coded and charged
to the correct programs, so we have allocated expenses to the
various programs within departments based on annualized student FTE
(credit hour enrollments). Please use the data on program costs
provided this year. Mixing data provided last year with data from
this year will produce some startling inconsistencies.
Please note that financial data for the current year is estimated
based on expenses from part-way through the year. In many cases this
seems to suggest that expenses this year will be lower than last.
This is not the case.
Data for annual reports and program
reviews has been summarized in two spreadsheets, both revised
3/28/08:
- The first summarizes data by
program
(e.g., accounting, biology, special education). This is the only
one you need to look at. Open the spreadsheet
and look for the tab(s) for your program(s). The gray box at the
top of the sheet has the information for the chart on the
report form.
- The second summarizes data by
category (majors,
graduates, faculty, etc.) in a second spreadsheet. Most programs don't need this
to complete their reports, but some may be interested in this way of
looking at the information and others may want to see some of the
additional breakdowns in the data here.
