Lock Haven University is located in north central Pennsylvania 200 miles from Philadelphia and 170 miles from Pittsburgh. Air service is provided by the Williamsport/Lycoming County Airport and the University Park/Centre County Airport. Trailways bus service also passes through the town of Lock Haven.

Clinton County is set in a beautiful mountain paradise with the Susquehanna River flowing by the LHU campus. Eight state parks/game lands provide picnicking, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, hangliding, and cross country skiing. The river is prime for canoeing, waterskiing and boating.
Approximately 20 hotels/motels and eight charming bed and breakfast inns offer hospitality to visitors. The mountains provide more than 1,000 campsites.

From Route 80, exit 178 (formerly exit 26), turn north on Route 220. Travel Route 220 north approximately eight miles to the Lock Haven exit. Turn left (west) on Route 120 (Jay Street). Go straight through two traffic lights, to stop sign at Jay Street and Water Street. Turn left on Water Street, following signs for Route 120 West. Travel approximately one mile to the Lock Haven campus. At the traffic light, go straight and visitor's parking is located on the left in front of Rogers Gymnasium.

Interstate 79 South to 80 East - Lock Haven exit 178 (formerly exit 26). From Route 80, exit 178 (formerly exit 26), turn north on Route 220. Route 22 East to 220 North (I-99) to Route 150 to Lock Haven. Pass the Ford Dealership ( Eagle Ford), continue straight, halfway down the hill, on the right, a sign reads: 120 West Renovo-Lock Haven University. Take a left, follow the signs, and at the next light you are at
the University.
South Central Pennsylvania
Route 11-15 North to Interstate 80 West to Lock Haven, exit 178 (formerly exit 26) or Interstate 83 North to Interstate 81 South to 11-15 North to 15 North to Interstate 80 West to Lock Haven, exit 178 (formerly exit 26).
