LHU Physician Assistant Program announces scholarship winners

The winners of this year's Charles Michael Steadman Jr. Memorial Scholarship for continuing an education in the Lock Haven University Physician Assistant Program are, from left: Ashley Dolan, Patrick Ward and Lindsey Bowman.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University Physician Assistant Program has announced this year’s Charles Michael Steadman Jr. Memorial Scholarship recipients as being Lindsey Bowman, Ashley Dolan and Patrick Ward.

Bowman, of Mechanicsburg, is a graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School. Dolan, of Mill Hall, is a graduate of Central Mountain High School. Ward, of Lock Haven, is a Lock Haven High School graduate. All three students received a Bachelor of Health Science degree from LHU.

The scholarship is named for C. Michael Steadman Jr., who was tragically killed in a car accident on Aug. 31, 1993. As Steadman was an academically talented student with strong interests in the field of health sciences, the $500 award is granted to applicants who most closely exemplify his qualities.

Recipients must be students who will attend the Lock Haven University Physician Assistant Program, who are not receiving other scholarship monies and who have a minimum grade point average of 2.75, and 3.0 in their majors.
