LHU's eCampus has new look

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Area residents will find it easier to get information on online educational opportunities available though Lock Haven University. The Lock Haven University eCampus website has a new look and a new approach. According to Carlos Morales, executive director of eCampus and Learning technologies, the website was redesigned to make it easier for area residents to take advantage of online credit and non-credit courses. The site features new sections including course offerings, course descriptions, student services, resources for faculty and students and a closer integration with the Stevenson Library. There is also an “online readiness” questionnaire for users to determine whether online courses are right for them.

On-line course offerings include open-enrollment certificate programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations. Students may enroll in non-credit certificate programs at any time, and course work is done at the student’s own pace. The site also provides a schedule of for-credit undergraduate and graduate course, including course descriptions, dates, and other relevant information.

Prospective eCampus students can apply for admission using the new website, and can access information on financial aid.

Morales states that when he was hired in January, revamping the eCampus website was his top priority. “We wanted to make the site as informative and as easy to use as possible,” he said.

The web address for the Lock Haven eCampus website is http://ecampus.lhup.edu.
