Hill appointed LHU Human Resource director

Deana Hill

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Lock Haven University announces that Lock Haven native Deana L. Hill has been named director of Human Resources.

“Her outstanding performance as assistant Human Resource director demonstrates Deana’s qualifications to lead the department,” said William T. Hanelly, vice president for Finance, Administration & Technology. “I am confident that she will continue initiatives to improve our administrative processes, and more importantly, that she will provide Human Resource leadership in a manner that promotes respect for all employees.”

Hill, who replaces Alan S. Anderson Sr., has served as an employee of LHU for 21 years, and most recently was the university’s assistant director of Human Resources after being appointed to the post in 2004. Her prior roles at LHU include: director of Institutional Research, 2001 to 2004; assistant director of Alumni Relations, 1999 to 2001; assistant to the Provost, 1990 to 1999; and secretary to the Provost, 1987 to 1990.

An LHU alumna, Hill received her Bachelor of the Arts in sociology in 1988. She went on to get her Master of Education in higher education from The Pennsylvania State University in 2001.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work with LHU employees to strengthen the operational and service roles of the Office of Human Resources and expand its strategic role to support the university’s Vision for Excellence,” Hill said. “I look forward to building the partnerships that will increase communication and employee engagement at LHU.”
