LHU students hold Sleepout for Literacy

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - April 3- 4, 2009 was MountainServe’s Sleepout for literacy. LHU student and Americorps member Laura Novak coordinated the event. It was held at Triangle Park. Over 80 students participated in the program, which raised awareness about literacy in the community, included a speaker (Michelle Bates) from the Adult Development Center, held a spelling bee competition, and is still collecting new and used books for local organizations through April 20th.
