Nine officers receive U.S. Army commissions at LHU ceremony

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University commissioning ceremony took place on May 2, 2009 in Price Auditorium. The official party consisted of Lieutenant Colonel Doug Orsi; Dr. Keith T. Miller, President of Lock Haven University; Dr. Linda Koch, Vice President for Student Affairs; Dr. Roger Johnson, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Mr. William Hanelly, Vice President for Finance, Administration, and Technology.

The guest speaker was Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Butler, Commander of the 228th Brigade Support Battalion, Pennsylvania Army National Guard. LTC Butler is a 1988 graduate of LHU and its ROTC Program.

At the ceremony, the following officers were commissioned Second Lieutenants in the U.S. Army (left to right in photo): James P. Antonelli, Active Duty, Ordnance; Paul E. Ewing III, Active Duty, Military Police; Joshua S. Fette, U.S. Army Reserve, Quartermaster; Nathan L. Hakes, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Quartermaster; Danielle Hoffmeister; Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Quartermaster; James M. Moore, U.S. Army Reserve, Engineer; Jane A. Morgan, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Ordnance; Bryce J. Paloskey, U.S. Army Reserve, Military Police; and Dustin M. Tagliaboski, Active Duty, Aviation.
