LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The public is invited to Lock Haven University’s 3rd Annual Nanoscience Awareness Day. The event will take place in Ulmer Hall, Room 232 (Planetarium) on Monday, November 9, 6:30-8:00 p.m. This free event will be of particular interest to area high school science students.

Dr. Deborah Erickson, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will deliver introductory remarks.

The featured speaker will be Amy Brunner, from Penn State University's Nanofabrication facility. She will present information on cutting-edge research in nanoscience, the NMT capstone semester, and workforce and job projections.

Several alumni will discuss how choosing to pursue a degree in nanoscience at LHU helped open doors for them, while others will present their current graduate research in the field.

Current LHU students Steven Swiontek, president of LHU’s Nano Club, and Jacob Cox, Nanoscience Scholar, will give a brief overview of their experiences in the program and club activities.
