LHU students Make a Difference

Members of LHU's Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity at Dickey Elementary's Tiger Den Playground

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - On October 31st, approximately 50 students from Lock Haven University volunteered throughout Clinton County in honor of Make A Difference Day, a day of national service. Students assisted the Salvation Army with a coat drive, Dickey Elementary’s Tiger Den playground by staining and painting play equipment, Downtown Lock Haven’s Fall Festival and coordinated clean- up projects with Clinton County Cleanscapes, Infant Development Program as well as in Downtown Lock Haven. The day was coordinated by student Americorps members Allie Carter and Alex Kotran, who serve with LHU’s MountainServe Center for Global Citizenship.
