LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University chapter of the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculty (APSCUF) recently recognized five LHU students at its fall picnic. They were presented with a $500.00 scholarship that acknowledged the academic excellence and extracurricular involvement of their first semester. Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State
System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in
the commonwealth. Its 14 universities offer more than 250 degree and certificate
programs in more than 120 areas of study. Nearly 405,000 system alumni live and
work in Pennsylvania.
Students receiving awards were Michael Rocco, an accounting major from Philipsburg, Pa.; Talitha Jay, a secondary education major from Myerstown, Pa.; Rachel Garges, a Pre-PA studies major from Bradford, Pa.; Gwendolyn Grieb, a Pre-PA studies major from Bellefonte, Pa.; and Brittany Cranmer, a math major from Lock Haven, Pa.
APSCUF represents the faculty of the fourteen universities of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
