LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Three Lock Haven University faculty received Peer Choice Awards at the university's 2008 Founder's Day Convocation on Wednesday, September 17 in Price Performance Center. The 2008 Excellence in Pedagogy Award was presented to Andrew Talbot, psychology department. Joseph P. McGinn, philosophy department, received the 2008 Excellence in Mentoring Award. David Bower, health science department, received the Excellence in Advisement Award.
The Peer Choice Awards were presented by Cori J. Myers, director of the Linda J. Emanuel Teaching and Learning Center. Recipients were selected by a faculty committee. Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State
System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in
the commonwealth. Its 14 universities offer more than 250 degree and certificate
programs in more than 120 areas of study. Nearly 405,000 system alumni live and
work in Pennsylvania.
