LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Lock Haven University has released its schedule of events for Homecoming Weekend, October 24-26.
Action begins on Friday afternoon with both the women’s soccer team and the field hockey team having games. At 7:00 p.m. the dedication of the Englert/Myers Coaches’ Locker Room will take place during halftime of the Central Mountain v. Harrisburg High game at Hubert jack Stadium.
On Saturday, events begin with a 5k Walk-Run. This event is open to the public. Runners will meet at Ivy lane at 7:30 a.m. for registration. An alumni brunch will be held at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center starting at 10:00. The cost for the full brunch is $10.00 per person. Following brunch, the Lock Haven Bald Eagles football team will take on Gannon University, with the Homecoming Court announced during the halftime festivities. Other Saturday contests include an alumnae field hockey game, a volleyball game and a lacrosse game against alumnae.
Rededication of the Charlotte E. Smith Field will take place between the alumnae field hockey game at noon and the alumnae lacrosse game at 2:00 p.m. The approximate time for the rededication is 1:15 p.m.
A highlight of the weekend will be the Women’s Initiative Reception at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center. USA Today columnist Christine Brennan will be the guest speaker. The cost per person is $50.00 and includes a dinner buffet.
The Sunday schedule includes a women’s basketball clinic from 9:00 until 3:00 and a field hockey match against Rider University.
