LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -
The public is invited to the Campus-Community Health Fair on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm in the Lock Haven University Student Recreation Center. The event will feature over 55 health-related exhibitors, DUI Safety Bug (new this year), and a noon Earth Day Health Walk.
The noon Health Walk kicks off from the Rec Center and welcomes all levels of walkers. Fitness Track majors will lead stretching exercises and the walk along the dike. The first 100 walkers will receive $5.00 gift cards to Subway.
Free screenings planned include blood pressure, blood glucose, body composition, fitness assessment. Free massages will also be available. ARAMARK plans to provide free smoothies. All participants will receive a free frisbee and generous door prizes will be drawn throughout the day.
New exhibitors this year include Office of Attorney General, Medi Home Health & Hospice Agency, Clinton County Assistance Office, United Way, Curves for Women, PA DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Diakon Family Life Services, Freshlife, Sport & Exercise Psychology Club, and Keystone Community Network.
Returning exhibitors include: Penn College Dental Hygiene, Rock River & Trail Outfitters, Ross Library, State Rep. Mike Hanna, State Sen. John Wozniak, Time Out Wellness Center & Spa.
Co-sponsors for the Campus Community Health Fair are Safe haven, the Wellness Center, the Student Rec Center, the Department of Health Science, the Department of Recreation Management, Lock Haven Hospital, and the Residence Hall Association.
