LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Lock Haven University International Office announces its last “Culture Through Coffee” multicultural night of the fall semester. Avenue 209 will host Moroccan Night on Monday, November 23 from 6-9 pm.
Moroccan night is the fourth multicultural event at the coffee shop. The goal of each event is to educate the community about different countries, celebrate diversity and promote tolerance.
The public is invited to come and explore the exotic culture of Morocco. A land known for its snake charmers, legends of magical genies and pulsating marketplaces, Morocco possesses a unique and fascinating culture. Found on the northern tip of Africa, Morocco possesses a culture as diverse as its land with Spanish, African and Muslim influences.
Participants are invited to sip mint tea and sample free exotic food, add some flair to their homes by making colorful paper mosaics, and participate in free belly dancing lessons. Arabian costumes will be provided.
The last “Culture Though Coffee” event of the season is a chance to learn something new and to explore “a whole new world.”
