LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven Book Club and other community members were honored guests at a special dance performance at Lock Haven University on Wednesday, November 18. Students in Associate Professor Jayme Host’s dance classes presented a sampling of dance numbers, ranging from classical ballet to modern dance, tap, and even the Lindy. The numbers showcased the students’ talents in both dance and choreography.
The event was coordinated by David White, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. He noted that the dance/luncheon was “ an opportunity to show the quality of Lock Haven’s arts programming to a group from the Lock Haven community.” He added, “The students in Professor Host’s classes, some of whom only started dancing two or three months ago, showed what students who are committed to their discipline can accomplish.”
White also expressed his gratitude to Margery Krevsky, LHU class of 1966 and a strong supporter of the arts at LHU, for making the event possible.
