LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - LHU Clearfield Campus held its first annual career fair for all academic majors on April 14, 2010. The career fair was a huge success with seventeen employers in attendance and over one hundred students participating. The public was invited as well as local graduating seniors. Dr. Marianne Hazel, Interim Dean, commented, “We are thrilled with the turn out and would like to thank all who participated. “
Hazel also commented on the collaboration between the Clearfield Campus and community employers. “Our Clearfield Campus is fortunate to have such strong support from our community,” she said. “This event was a win-win event for our students and for the participating employers. We are planning to expand next year’s career fair to include even more area businesses.”
One of the students who attended the career fair commented, "I thought that the career fair was a huge success. It had something to offer everyone, whether you're in healthcare, business, criminal justice, anything. The presenters were very informative and I took some great information home with me to assist in beginning my job search process in anticipation for graduation next May. I'll be looking forward to next year's!"
