Clearfield, PA – The Lock Haven University Clearfield Campus nursing department is holding information sessions for registered nurses and other healthcare professionals interested in the Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. Prospective students interested in the two-year online program can attend one of two sessions on Tuesday, August 10 at 12pm or Thursday, August 12 at 6pm at the Clearfield Campus.
The LHU Clearfield RN-to-BSN program is an additional 51 credit hour bachelor degree facilitating mobility of graduates from the Associate Degree and Diploma degrees in nursing allowing the opportunity to enhance their education and career options.
“The RN to BSN completion program is designed to build on the students’ knowledge and experience as a registered nurse, enhancing skills in critical thinking, case management, and leadership roles. The degree is available online, allowing students flexibility and access,” explained Kim Owens, Nursing Program department chair.
Dr. Marianne Hazel, LHU Clearfield Campus interim dean added, “The information session is a great way for prospective students to learn the many benefits of enrolling in this degree program. We are excited about the addition of this RN to BSN completion program to our nursing department, which has earned such a positive reputation for its quality, rigor, and integrity.”
Refreshments will be available at either information session. The LHU Clearfield nursing staff will be on-hand to answer any questions and to speak with any prospective student after the session.
