How to sing in the rain with a frog in your throat: LHU presents free program on using humor to reduce stress

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - “Laughter can’t make our everyday problems go away, but it sure can help us to cope better!” That’s the philosophy behind a free, high energy program on stress reduction to be held at Lock Haven University on Thursday, September 23. The program will be in Price Performance Center. Doors will open at 4:00 and the presentation will begin at 4:15. The public is invited to attend.
The featured presenter will be Maureen Murray, a professional speaker about stress management, powerful speaking, and balanced living.
In her presentation, Murray will offer practical strategies to create positive solutions to reduce stress. Her program will show how to use humor to deal with difficult situations, create perspective and balance in your life, unlock your problem-solving ability and help boost your immune system.
Maureen Murray is the author of “How to Sing in the Rain with a Frog in Your Throat” and of “Hit the Ground Speaking: 57 Strategies to Jumpstart a Dynamic Speech.” She writes guest columns for the Pittsburgh Business Times and is also a contributor to “Chicken Soup for the Soul.” Her website is www.maureenmurrayassociates.com
The presentation is sponsored by the State College & University Professional Association (SCUPA), the LHU Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the LHU Wellness Committee.
