Does Medea Deserve to Die?

Erin Olkowski as Medea

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - On October 21, Professor Daniel Shaw, chair of the Philosophy Department at Lock Haven University, will be leading a discussion of Euripides' Medea after the play is staged by the Theater Department of Lock Haven University. Shaw will explain Aristotle's reasons for condemning the play as less than tragic, before opening it up to the audience as a whole.

The performance of Medea begins at 7:30 in Sloan Auditorium, with the discussion to follow shortly thereafter.
