Lock Haven University
It’s enough to make you sick! |
Every year, Lock Haven University students in Professor Joseph Calabrese’s microbiology course celebrate Halloween by dressing up as their “favorite microbe.” The tradition has been going on since 1997. The black hooded figure in the front is Yersinia Pestis, more commonly known as Professor Calabrese. Each of the “microbes” behind him had to write a short paper and answer questions about how to diagnose and protect against them. Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth. Its 14 universities offer more than 250 degree and certificate programs in more than 120 areas of study. Nearly 405,000 system alumni live and work in Pennsylvania. |
