LHU students work with community partners to Make A Difference

On Make A Difference Day, members of Lock Haven University’s Sophisticated Ladies helped to decorate downtown Lock Haven for the holidays. Approximately 75 LHU students participated in the national day of service.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - On October 30th Lock Haven University’s MountainServe Center for Global Citizenship sponsored Make A Difference Day, which is a national day of service. Approximately 75 students participated in the volunteer project. Community partners included the Infant Development Program, Downtown Lock Haven, Millbrook Playhouse, Lock Haven YMCA, and the Salvation Army. The day of service was coordinated by student Americorps members Andrea Brackbill and Margaret Rougeux and the following student clubs and organizations participated: Marine Science Club, Sophisticated Ladies, LHU Americorps Program, LHU Honors Program, Alpha Chi Rho fraternity, Early Childhood Student Group, Biology Club, Ski and Board Club, and Safe Haven.
