LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Lock Haven University’s October 29 Networking Reception provided an opportunity for senior business students to mingle with university administrators and trustees, as well as local leaders in government, business and the community. Each semester, the Business Administration and Accounting Advisory Council hosts a reception for students enrolled in the Senior Capstone Course so that they can put into practice the networking skills they acquired in their classes.

According to Dr. Cori Myers, associate professor and chair, Department of Business Administration, Computer Science and Information Technology, “This event allows students to hone such soft skills as interpersonal, communication, and networking skills which are invaluable in today’s business world.” She added, “We appreciate the time and talent offered by community business leaders whose participation helps transform this learning activity into a real-world event with real-life application.”

Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth.
