LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The annual Community Health Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center, Railroad Street, at Lock Haven University. The event will feature over 50 exhibitors from area health-related agencies and organizations. The Community Health Fair is co-sponsored by the Department of Health Science, Safe Haven and the Student Recreation Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Health-related agencies and organizations scheduled to provide displays include Lock Haven Hospital, Jersey Shore Hospital, Tapestry Family Planning, Susque-View, Consumer Credit Counseling Services of PA, Wise Chiropractic and Rehab Center, Clinton County United Way, Fitness Management students, Physician Assistant students, Glennon Health Services, Clinton County Women’s Center, PA Army National Guard, Community Nursing Services of Clinton County and Senator John Wozniak.
Attendees may receive free health screenings, educational materials, door prizes and health snacks.
The Community Health Fair will also feature a DUI Safety Simulator. The Safety Simulator has the ability to induce intoxication not only into the user’s driving, but into the cars driving around the user.
Downtown Lock Haven workers, senior citizens and local residents are encouraged to attend the event.
