Internship Information

Psychology majors have an opportunity to and are encouraged to participate in Pre-Professional Internships (PSYC369). Students receive 6 hours of academic credit for working with professionals in a variety of settings including mental health facilities, schools, prisons, day care centers, hospitals, and government.

Students must have 60 semester hours of credit and a 2.5 GPA overall and a 2.5 in psychology in order to apply. Approval is necessary by the faculty sponsor, department chair, and the Dean of the College of Arts and Science.

Internships require on-site supervision, the completion of a log and paper, and a poster presentation.
