Newcomer Award
This recognition goes to sophomore psychology majors who show great promise in academic achievement and/or service to the department. The award is named in honor of Dr. Charles Newcomer for distinguished service to LHU and the Psychology Department from 1966 to 1997.

- CJ Picard was awarded with the 2009 College of Arts and Sciences Service Award in honor of his service to the department, university, and community.
- Shawn Steckenfinger ('07) is a researcher in the Primate Neuroethology Lab in Princeton University's Department of Psychology
