Leanne Hennip

Leanne Hennip is a junior majoring in Health and Physical Education.  Leanne will be teaching Fit & Firm this semester.  This is her first time teaching an aerobics class. She is looking forward to having a good semester, and hopes to have a fun and interesting class!

 

 

 

Chelsea White

Chelsea is a freshman majoring in Outdoor Recreation Management from Hershey, PA. Aside from teaching aerobics, Chelsea has been weightlifting for over three years and hopes to someday compete in Powerlift competitions. She is an advocate for environmental activism and enjoys writing in her spare time.

Aerobics Class Descriptions

 

YOGA: Monday &  Wednesday

              Tuesday & Thursday

INSTRUCTOR: 

This class integrates body and mind for total performance featuring strength, conditioning and flexibility. Yoga can be both relaxing and invigorating but don’t let it be intimidating.  Yoga is appropriate for all levels of fitness and can improve athletic performance through lean muscle build

ADVANCED HATHA: A deeper focus required to challenge yourself while leading with the breath. Less description than regular Hatha class, positions held longer, more advanced variations, and inversions included.
POWER YOGA:  Uses the asanas in a flow like dance connecting each asana with the breath. A strong focus on the breath and a clear mind is necessary to obtain the challenge your body and mind will face with power yoga.
BEGINNER'S YOGA:  The class will encompass the basic asanas.  Instruction will be slow and explained. 
TEACHER'S CHOICE:  This class will reflect the students who attend on a class to class basis. Classes could be regular, power, advanced, even partner.

STEP AND TONE: Monday - Thursday                                                     INSTRUCTOR: JOHANNA                                                                                                    This class combines the best of both worlds!  You get 30 minutes of fat-blasting cardio action followed by 30 minutes of muscle sculpting for your upper and lower body and your abs.  If you are looking  for a challenge and are ready to get fit, join Johanna.  You won't be disappointed.


FIT & FIRM:  Monday-Thursday 6:00PM-6:50PM                                                             INSTRUCTOR:  LEANNE
Leanne is a new instructor to the Student Recreation Center.  Fit & Firm will consist of 30 minutes of cardio work and 30 minutes of strength training.  She is always open to suggestions for improvements to her class.  This class is all about firming, fun, and fitness!


CARDIO MIX: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 7:00PM-7:50PM
INSTRUCTOR: CHELSEA
If you’re looking for variety in your workout, Cardio Mix is the class for you. Get your heart pumping and blood flowing with thirty minutes of step/floor aerobics followed by a combination of Pilates, strength and abdominal exercises to finish.
