Clubs
for
Recreation Majors

Recreation
Society:
Recreation Society is primarily for Recreation Management majors. It provides
an excellent opportunity to meet new friends, learn more about your chosen
field and have fun. There are regularly scheduled guest speakers from
all fields of recreation as well as opportunities to gain leadership experience,
to attend professional conferences, and to network with LHU alumni and professionals. Although there is faculty supervision,
this is primarily a student-driven organization.
Outing Club:
The Outing Club is open to all students who love the outdoors. Membership
in the outing club provides students with the opportunity to engage in
outdoor adventure trips, mountain biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, and canoeing represent
the variety of activities the outing club organizes.
Strength and
Conditioning Club:
The Strength and Conditioning Club is designed primarily for Fitness Management
students as well as those who want to learn more about the fitness industry
through guest speakers, clinics, and dialogue generated at the meetings.
This club is a great avenue for students who want to develop their
skills as personal trainers and as student strength and conditioning
coaches for various sports.
Other Related
Clubs:
