Professional
Semester
Description:
Prior
to the senior field experience, students undergo a prescribed set of classes,
known as Professional Semester. These classes offer an integrated experience,
that prepares students for their final field experience. This is done
through application of previous experience to higher levels of course
work. Students complete group and individual projects, as well as develop
entry level skills within their specialization. Students are expected
to dress and conduct themselves in a professional manner throughout the
semester.
Professional
Semester includes the following classes: Assessment,
Evaluation and Research in Recreation; Marketing Recreation; Services
Organization and Management; and Current Issues in Recreation.
