The Facilities Department with Student Involvement in conjunction with America Recycling day will do a one day event for recycling here on Campus for all Faculty, Staff and Students.

Date: November 15, 2008

Time: 9:00 am- 3:00 p.m.

Drop off: Hursh-Nevel Building

Items that can be recycled that day are cans (bi-metal & aluminum), glass, plastics, office paper (magazines, junk mail), newspaper, corrugated cardboard, batteries, electronics (computers, printers, televisions, vcr’s, cell phones, stereo’s, dvd players), appliances, metal, and tires  All items must be sorted and not comingled.

Make an Effort to Make a Difference

If America's recycling rate for aluminum and steel cans, plastic PET and glass containers, newsprint and corrugated packaging increased by 10%, we would save enough energy to provide electricity to 1.8 million Americans for an entire year.

As our slogan says, it all comes back to you. Even a small shift in your attitudes and actions, multiplied many times over by others accepting this challenge, can change the world. Maybe you'll throw those soft drink cans in the recycle bin. Or buy recycled-content products. Or participate in an America Recycles Day event. Even organize one yourself! The more you do, the better. Because even a little helps a lot.
