This
conference will include sessions led by a variety of experts in the area
of LGBT issues. Information on some of our speakers is provided below.

Drs. Jen Clements (pictured
left) and Sam Benbow (pictured right) will be leading a session
entitled "Celebrating Our Diversity" from 9:15 am until 10:30 am
on Friday, March 27, 2009.
Dr.
Clements is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at
Shippensburg University. She is the chair of the GLBT Concerns
Committee at Shippensburg.
Dr. Samuel R. Benbow is an Assistant
Professor in the Social Work and Gerontology Department at
Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He has 18 years
experience as an educator, workshop presenter, trainer and
workshop facilitator nationally as well as internationally.

Drs. Colleen
Cooke (pictured left) and Catherine Massey (pictured right) will
be leading a session entitled
"What about
Gay Kids? Creating Safe Spaces for the LGBT Campus Community"
with
Alana
Atchinson from
10:45 am until
12:15 pm on Friday, March 27, 2009.
Dr. Cooke is
an Associate Professor of Therapeutic Recreation at Slippery
Rock University. She is heavily involved with LGBT issues on
campus and in the community.
Dr. Massey is
an Associate Professor of Psychology at Slippery Rock
University. Dr. Massey’s
research program focuses on psychosocial factors related to LGBT
mental and physical health and she is heavily involved with LGBT
issues on campus.

Stephen Glassman will be
leading a session entitled
"Respect for Diversity
through Equality, Identity, and Inclusion" from 1:00 pm
until 1:45 pm on Friday, March 27, 2009. Mr. Glassman has been
appointed to several political committees, including the
Pennsylvania Human Relations Committee. In many cases, he has
been the first openly gay person to be appointed to these

Anthony R.
D’Augelli, Ph.D. will be leading a session entitled
"Being Out,
Staying Out, and (maybe) Getting Married and Having Children:
The New World of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Young
Adults" from 2:00 pm until 3:15 pm on Friday, March 27,
2009. Dr. D'Augelli is a clinical/community psychologist whose
research focuses on sexual
orientation and human development. He has conducted extensive
research on the development of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
